How to care of your bouquet

When buying a Mosaic bouquet, you also get a card giving explanations on what to do with it. An image is worth a thousand words, so I thought I’d also visually share how to take care of your bouquet when you or your loved ones receive it.

STEP 1: REMOVE THE HESSIAN AND THE SPONGE

Step 1 remove the hessian and the sponge

Step 1: Remove the hessian and the sponge

Once you’ve removed the natural and sustainable hessian that protects the bouquet during the delivery, you can also take off the black sponge and bag that keep the stems fresh.

STEP 2: GIVE SPACE AND VOLUME TO YOUR BOUQUET

Step 2: Give space and volume to your bouquet

Step 2: Give space and volume to your bouquet

And then comes the part where your creativity kicks in.

Your bouquet is all tight together to make sure flowers are preserved during the delivery. The idea is now to make sure your bouquet is fully open. To do so, you can gently “shake” it a bit. It will breathe more, flowers will have more space and it will emphasize its beauty. Our bouquets are wild and free like nature and we want to make sure yours is fully opened.

STEP 3: MAKE SURE YOUR BOUQUET IS FITTED FOR THE VASE

Step 3: Make sure your bouquet is fitted for the vase

Step 3: Make sure your bouquet is fitted for the vase

Then, depending on your vase, the stems of your bouquet might need a little trim. Mosaic bouquets are 40 cm high to make sure they fit all vases. This being said, your vase might be smaller than this and you want to make sure we see the focus is on the flowers more than on the stems.Put the bouquet next to the vase to make sure it is fitted and cut the stems diagonally if needed! Don’t cut too much as you would want to cut the stems every 2 days to make sure fresh water goes through the stems.

STEP 4: PUT YOUR BOUQUET IN THE VASE

Step 4: Put your bouquet in the vase

Step 4: Put your bouquet in the vase

You are now ready to place your bouquet in a vase… HURRAY! Put in a vase lukewarm water and the flower food. Shake a bit to make sure all is homogenous. Then place your bouquet in the vase. The level of perfectionism might change from one person to another, but I like to give a final touch to the bouquet, making sure the flowers are well displayed.

If you want your bouquet to last as long as possible, don’t place it in direct sun and every 2 days, change the water, cutting the stems by 2 cm.

You’re now a pro, enjoy your bouquet to the fullest and feel great!
